viscerale anatomica pura ancestrale introspettiva poetica emotiva ricca curiosa
cosciente e metodica maniacale e precisa forte e sensibile
nella ricerca sperimentale
fra biologia, botanica, anatomia e antropologia.

 

Quando mi sento smarrita,
ecco che il lavoro di Paola Tassetti mi riporta all’origine.

All’amore verso la natura,
all’importanza delle piccole cose,
al rispetto delle emozioni,
del corpo.

Non sempre facile.

L’esperienza a Maravee è stata intensa.
Come se lì, in quelle due stanze dedicate al lavoro di Paola, il tempo si fosse fermato.
Non ricordo per quanto tempo sia rimasta al loro interno. 

La prima
buia e rossa,
come una membrana.

Tra lunghe calze trasparenti appese al soffitto
contenenti pietre e sculture.

 

La seconda
buia ma luminosa
con al centro una tavola imbandita
di cose.

 

oggetti
rami
ampolle
sculture
foglie
gesso
vetro
arti
vasi
terrarium

diventano reliquie
trasformandosi nelle credenziali dell’artista.

 

in sottofondo
un cortometraggio
RHOPOGRAPHIA
diviso in tre atti
che ritrae oggetti quotidiani, umili
quali brocche, utensili, bottiglie, contenitori

immobili, inanimati
eppure in liquido movimento
tra ombre, luci e suoni elettronici.

questo è quello che dovrebbe fare l’arte.
quella vera, quella pura.

farti provare qualcosa

arricchirti
ma anche destabilizzarti
in ogni caso iniziarti
ad un pensiero
ad un ragionamento
ad un infinito susseguirsi di domande

a placare l’animo
donare apparente sollievo

a FARE ANIMA
come lei stessa definisce il suo operato.

la immagino come una collezionista compulsiva
di memorie
e emozioni

un po’ come me.

Attingendo dalla natura

matrice profonda
da cui l’uomo proviene

fonde in un linguaggio tutto suo

alfabeti del sentimento, grammatiche dell’oblio, codici e paradigmi che sovvertono l’ordine del naturale, ontologie della coscienza, sintattiche della passione, universi della memoria, caos
e distruzione

per poi restituire la sua personale visione di essa
permeata dal proprio vissuto.

utensili legati il mio storico: composizioni create con l’esigenza di ritrarre apparenti tensioni e paradossali equilibri visivi.

“…ho la volontà estrema di far riapparire la vera MATRICE dell’esistenza umana, la matrice vegetale, attraverso canoni del mondo antico.
Da vario tempo studio l’antropologia vegetale, ovvero la combustione tra materia organica e vegetale e struttura anatomica umana, trovando un punto di fusione tra soggetto e oggetto, poiché la natura che avvolge l’uomo lo rende CORPO VIVO, costituendo un ordine: INTUISCO LA NATURA E IN PARI TEMPO ME STESSO, LA MIA INTERIORITÀ’, IL MIO MODO DI ESSERE, scriveva Goethe nel libro Meditazioni sulla natura.”

Paola Tassetti’s work brings me back to the origin.

to love for nature,
to the importance of small things,
to the respect for emotions
and body.

Not always easy.

 

The experience at maravee was intense.
As if, in those two rooms devoted to Paola’s work, time had stopped.
I don’t remember how long i stayed there.

The first
dark and red,
like a membrane.

Between long transparent stockings hanging from the ceiling
filled with stones and sculptures.

the second
dark but bright
with a laden table of things in the center

leaves

glass
limbs
vessels
terrariums

they become relics
turned into the artist’s credentials.

 

In the background a short film divided into three acts
RHOPOGRAPHIA
which portrays everyday, humble objects
such as jugs, utensils, bottles, containers

motionless, inanimate
yet in liquid motion
between shadows, lights and electronic sounds.

 

this is what art should do.
the real one, the pure one.

make you feel something.

enriching
but also destabilising
in any case initiating
to a thought
to a reasoning
to an endless succession of questions

appeasing the soul
giving apparent relief

to FARE ANIMA – making soul
as she defines her work.

 

I imagine her as a compulsive collector
of memories
and emotions

a bit like me.

Drawing from nature

from which the man comes

merges into her own language

Alphabets of feeling, grammars of oblivion, codes and paradigms that subvert the order of the
natural, ontologies of consciousness, syntactics of passion, universes of memory, chaos and destruction.

giving back her personal vision of it
permeated by her own experience.

recomposing “in a casual and refined way, the painful fracture between the anatomical and the vegetable, between the ego and the cosmos, between the divine and the earth.”

Paola
a soul
that feels is
an art argonaut.

I have the extreme will to make the true MATRIX of human existence
reappear, the vegetable matrix, through canons of the ancient world.
For some time now I have been studying plant anthropology, i.e. the combustion between organic and plant matter and human anatomical structure, finding a point of fusion between subject and object, as the nature that surrounds man makes his BODY ALIVE, constituting an order.
