Aventurines, transformation and other stories

“Aventurines, transformation and other stories” è la mostra in visione fino all’11 dicembre 2022 da Nature Morte.

Aventurines, transformation and other stories

I was intensely mesmerized by what to my eyes appeared to be an ancestral group rite, when the oven’s mouth opened and I understood the depth and archaic power of your origins: within the furnace swirled a living orange flame with yellowish streaks. It gave off a violent heat; I could feel my skin burning. You’re the son of Hephaestus, the god of fire, forges, engineering, shaping, sculpture. The image of fire has remained clearly etched in my memory.

The relationship with material is a constant theme in the work of Lorenzo Vitturi and has also reached India with the new exhibition currently on offer in New Delhi in the Natura Morta gallery. From the double interview with glass – which is given words and thoughts – that the artist has undertaken in the poetic piece published in CONFINIS curated by Marco Tagliafierro, we arrive in India, in a confrontation with minerals, crystals and fabrics that bring to mind colourful Indian carpets.
References to Venice also come through here with the magic of Murano glass and the city’s gothic architecture, and also Peru with the colours and traditions typical of the family geography of the artist.

“Aventurines, transformation and other stories” is the exhibition on display until 11 December 2022 at Nature Morte.
